Renae Smith

Founder & CEO

Renae Smith is the founder of The Atticism and leads client strategy, brand positioning and global expansion from the Greek office. With a career spanning PR, media and brand development, she works with high growth businesses across Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, the UAE, the MENA region and Europe, helping them develop a distinctive voice in competitive markets.

Her career began in the legal sector, but her talent for storytelling and strategic thinking saw her move into writing for leading brands such as MYOB, Urban List and Men’s Health. This passion for brand narratives naturally evolved into a PR career, where her ability to combine creativity with commercial strategy has set her apart in the industry.

In 2014, Renae was a contestant on MasterChef Australia, which cemented her presence in the food and lifestyle space. In 2023 she wrote and hosted What Chefs Want, a television series that aired on Singapore’s Channel 5 and later on SBS Food Australia, further demonstrating her ability to bring compelling stories and industry insight to screen.

Recognised as a thought leader in PR, Renae’s strategic insights have been referenced in books such as When Others Won’t by Cody Royle. She is also a PR expert commentator for The Express in the UK and USA, where she analyses brand strategies and reputation management for high profile figures including members of the Royal Family. In addition, she regularly serves as an industry judge for organisations including PRIA, Amazon Australia and WINA Dubai.

Renae married in 2023 and is sometimes referenced in the media as Renae Wąsik.
